At Canna Health Shop, we strive to ensure our customers are satisfied with their purchases. However, due to the nature of our products (cannabis-derived items, consumables, and cultivation supplies), we maintain a strict returns policy to ensure health, safety, and compliance with South African law.
- Cooling-Off Period (ECT Act)
In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), you are entitled to cancel your purchase within 7 days of receiving your goods for a full refund, provided:
The product is unopened, unused, and in its original sealed packaging.
The product is not a “perishable” or “consumable” item that has been opened (see Section 2).
Note: You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us (courier fees).
- Non-Returnable Items
For health and safety reasons, and in accordance with Section 20 of the CPA, we cannot accept returns on the following items once the seal is broken or the product is used:
Consumables: Flower, oils, tinctures, edibles, and topicals.
Cultivation Gear: Opened nutrients, soil, or amendments (to prevent contamination).
Seeds: Due to the biological nature of seeds, we cannot offer returns once the original breeder packaging has been opened.
Sale Items: Only regular-priced items may be refunded; unfortunately, sale items are final.
- Defective or Damaged Goods
Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), all products carry an implied 6-month warranty of quality. If your product is defective (e.g., a faulty vaporizer or a leaking bottle):
Notification: Please notify us at shop@cannahealthshop.co.za within 48 hours of delivery if the item arrived damaged.
Assessment: We may require photos of the damage or for the item to be returned for technical assessment.
Remedy: If the item is found to be defective, we will offer you a repair, replacement, or a full refund (including the return shipping costs).
- Incorrect Items Delivered
If we accidentally sent you the wrong product:
Please do not open the product or break the seal.
Contact us within 48 hours. We will arrange for our courier to collect the incorrect item and deliver the correct one at our expense.
- Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected:
We will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
If approved, your refund will be processed via your original payment method (e.g., PayFast/Yoco) or via EFT.
Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the funds to reflect in your account.
- Shipping for Returns
To return your product, please email us first to receive a Return Authorization Number.
Returns sent without prior authorization may be rejected.
